Welcome to ASBORIGAMI
The word origami comes from Japan and means the art of folding paper. What began centuries ago as a simple form of entertainment gradually became part of educational and cultural life in Japan.
Today, origami is practiced around the world. It can be a gift, a decorative piece, a meditative exercise, or a creative challenge.
Our History
It started with a simple idea: to create a group inspired by a similar association in Osaka. Informal meetings soon became regular gatherings where members shared techniques and explored refined models.
Among those who joined were Kenji Takahashi, Haruto Nakamura, Daichi Sato, Yuki Yamamoto, Aiko Tanaka, Mei Kobayashi, Riku Watanabe, and Sora Ito. On February 17, 2000, the association was officially registered.
"Taro Suzuki brought structure and a sense of humor to the meetings. Each person contributed their own unique style to the group."
