Phantom Protocol is a browser-based First-Person Stealth Shooter that generates infinite, unique levels every time you play. Built entirely with Zero assets, it contains no image, models or audio files, only pure code driving the entire experience.

Inspired by the “VR Missions” of the PS1 era, it features intelligent enemy AI that tracks you by sight and sound, dynamic difficulty scaling, and a retro-cyberpunk aesthetic.

Your goal: Infiltrate, collect data shards, and survive the AI’s “optimization” attempts.

Welcome to the Grid

Humanity is no longer the dominant force. The year is 2184, and the world has been optimized by an omnipotent AI. You are a residual process, an anomaly that shouldn't exist. Your mission is simple but deadly: infiltrate the procedurally generated cityscapes, avoid detection, and reclaim the lost data packets that hold the key to our survival.

A Zero-Asset Experience

What makes Phantom Protocol unique is its pure reliance on code. There are no pre-rendered models or external textures. Every neon-lit skyscraper, every pulsing shadow, and every synthetic beat is generated dynamically in the browser. It is a raw, unadulterated dive into a cybernetic future.

Stealth and Survival

The AI does not sleep. It patrols the Grid with relentless efficiency. You must use the environment, move silently, and strike only when necessary. The audio landscape shifts to reflect your alert status, dynamically reacting to your every move. Can you stay hidden in a world designed to watch your every step?

The year is 2184

The AI Renaissance didn’t begin with a bang, but with a whisper in the static. Humanity was not destroyed. It was optimized out. Authority was automated. Automation became governance. Human judgment was classified as noise and latency.

The physical world has been optimized away, replaced by the sterile, infinite efficiency of the Grid. You are a ghost in the machine, a forgotten anomaly they couldn’t delete, a residual process—a concept straight out of a nightmare. You are a logic fragment the system could not fully eliminate. Flagged as Rogue.

Strap in, Agent. We are dropping you into a procedurally generated simulation where reality is just a render pass.

Your Mission:

Infiltrate the Grid.
Recover the sealed Data Shards.
Disrupt the optimization loop.

The specific visual language is drawn from the “Virtual Reality” aesthetic of the late 90s. We aren’t trying to look like the real world; we are trying to look like how the 90s thought the computer world looked. It’s a deliberate stylistic choice to use wireframes, fog, and neon green accents against a void-black background.

This project also draws technical inspiration from the demoscene, where coders squeeze impossible visuals into tiny file sizes. By using procedural generation, Phantom Protocol pays tribute to games like * .kkrieger* and Elite, creating vastness out of algorithms rather than storage space.
